VolanoChat is First Chat Product Awarded 100% Pure Java Certification

SAN FRANCISCO, California, August 20, 1997 - Volano LLC, a leading supplier of Java based chat solutions, today announced that Sun Microsystems, Inc. has awarded "100% Pure Java™" status to VolanoChat™. VolanoChat is the first client and server chat solution to pass the 100% Pure Java certification.

This certification is recognition of what our customers have known for some time - that they have the freedom to choose any Java Compatible™ platform for our VolanoChat Server while keeping their Web sites open to visitors from any Web browser, said John Neffenger, Volano's founder and chief technology officer.
