Using Microsoft SDK for Java 2.0 and 2.01, the virtual machine fails to append to existing log files when restarting the server. This bug is fixed in Microsoft SDK for Java 3.0. When using SDK 2.0 or 2.01, you should copy any existing log files to a backup directory before restarting your VolanoChat server.

The server.timeout server property must be set to zero when running on Linux or FreeBSD.

Netscape Communicator on Solaris and Linux displays a pop up message stating, "The scrollbar page increment is less than 1" when the VolanoChat applet is started.
